The article focuses on the application of business policy and the scientific method by successful American businessmen in the analysis of business and industrial operations. Generalities of scientific method were organized under the four headings of theory, hypothesis, measurement and design. The process of relating existing and obtainable resources to operationally defined goals and objectives, opportunities and risks, and administrative procedures, was illustrated using a schematic diagram. The article also explores the similarities and differences of business policy procedures and the scientific method.
