Abstract
Analyzes the energy problems existing in the U.S. which call for a change in technologies, government policies and a resolution of conflicts between efforts to preserve the environment and to satisfy growing energy demands. Major constraints on energy supply leading to fuel shortage; Illustration of short-run and long-run energy supply problems; Suggestion of ways to improve efficiency in energy consumption at the demand level.
